Cupping Massage

Online course e-learning

The Cupping Massage online course is based on Western massage theory, where the skeletal muscles affected during a massage session, the massage techniques used, the directions of the massage techniques, and other essential principles are explained in logical arguments. For example, why certain massage movements with silicone cups are performed in one direction, why certain massage movements are not performed in another direction, why some massage movements with silicone cups are performed up and down the back, why some are performed crosswise, etc., are explained.

Functional Anatomy

Sauna 1, Audru (Pärnu) Sauna 1, Audru (Pärnu)

In the Functional Anatomy course, you will learn about hundred different skeletal muscles, knowing at the end of the course the names and locations of many different skeletal muscles in the human body. The course will also give you a basic knowledge of the origins and insertions of the skeletal muscles, which will help you to identify the functions of the skeletal muscles, i.e. the specialised movement terminology: flexion, extension, abduction, adduction, internal rotation, external rotation, supination, pronation, etc. Functional anatomy provides a thorough basis for understanding the functioning of the human body at the level of skeletal muscles, particularly in the level of skeletal muscles functions. For example, which skeletal muscles form lordosis, which skeletal muscles are responsible for the flat back, which skeletal muscles form the foot arches (longitudinal and transverse arches), and so on. The course will also cover Latin terms, which are also necessary to be familiar with, as this is an international professional language. At the same time, our course is based on Estonian terminology, as the course organization experience has indicated that it is easier to learn things first in Estonian and then add Latin terminology. The Functional Anatomy course is, therefore, a combination of the two languages.

Human Anatomy and Physiology

Sauna 1, Audru (Pärnu) Sauna 1, Audru (Pärnu)

The Human Anatomy and Physiology course provides an overview of all human organs, i.e., systems: 1) circulatory system, 2) digestive system, 3) lymphatic system, 4) respiratory system, 5) urogenital system, 6) endocrine system, 7) nervous system, and 8) sensory system. In addition to the knowledge shared within one system, the links with other systems will also be explained. For example, how hormones produced by the adrenal gland affect the functioning of different organs, how the lymphatic and circulatory systems are linked, how blood pressure affects the functioning of the kidneys, and so on. The course will search for as many different links as possible between the different organs to more systematically understand the workings of the other human systems. It will be done in simple and easy-to-understand language. Interactive teaching tools are used to enable participants to experience and learn about the functioning of the human body in a practical way. The course is designed to be accessible to all interested people, regardless of their previous level of knowledge.

Kinesiology Taping

Online course e-learning

The Kinesiology Taping online course combines many different kinesiology taping techniques. In the Kinesiology Taping online course, you will learn how skeletal muscles can be kinesiologically taped and how to correctly apply kinesiology tape in a muscle-based way. The main aim of muscle-based techniques is to reduce the tension in the skeletal muscles and thereby positively affect the joints and the body as a whole. When using muscle-specific techniques, the kinesiology tape is applied without stretching from the origin of the skeletal muscle to the point of insertion or vice versa while stretching the client's skeletal muscles. In addition to muscle-based techniques, the online course will also cover 'continuation' techniques: typically, a kinesiology tape is applied to the human body with stretching tension to partially change the position of the joints (and also the bones) to ensure better posture or joint stability, to prevent injuries, etc. The difference between the techniques is that while the muscle-based techniques are applied primarily by stretching the skeletal muscles, the so-called 'continuation' techniques are more characterized by the opposite situation: the kinesiology tape ensures that the skeletal muscles are strengthened. However, these are not the only 'continuation' techniques, as lymphatic circulation techniques, ligament techniques, pain point techniques, etc., are also discussed in the Kinesiology Taping online course.

Situational Massage

Online course e-learning

The Situational Massage e-course is based on Western massage theory. Its aim is to help the masseur find different approaches to different problems (e.g., joint problems). For example, if a person has pain in the right knee joint, the e-course will suggest different approaches to help the client relieve (reduce) the knee pain. The masseur will be able to put this knowledge into practice.
