Short overview and structure of the online course

A sauna is a place where the temperature is usually between 60 and 100 degrees. Going to a sauna is generally not expensive and is therefore accessible to most of us. Many people go to a sauna at least once a week, some even more often. Generally, saunas are suitable for most people because the temperature, humidity, etc., can be easily adjusted. The benefits of a sauna could be particularly significant for professionals such as athletes, firefighters, members of the defence forces, etc. They have to cope with more intense heat exposure than usual under certain conditions (e.g. when sporting in a hot climate), and saunas provide better preparation for such extreme situations. At the same time, saunas are not only meant for young and healthy people but are also suitable for the elderly and people with certain illnesses. It has been proven that sauna has a positive effect on better coping with diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure. It also helps prevent traumas and provides pain relief to a certain extent. In addition, sauna can also speed up a person's recovery if the conditions in the sauna are optimal. Consequently, sauna has many positive effects, which will be analysed in the online course.

You will find the online course structure in the future here.

Prerequisites for enrolling in an online course

Completion of the online course

In order to participate in the Sauna online course, you need to register an account on the website, which will later be linked to the Sauna online course. More information will be provided after registration for the online course. The online course can be completed at a time and pace suitable to you personally.

Sauna online course is based on recorded video lectures. If you have any questions during the course, you can email them to the course organiser. If the questions do not require a long answer, they will be answered by email. In the case of a longer answer, we prefer three options: 1) by telephone; 2) via Zoom; 3) creating an additional video clip to the online course. In the case of the first two options an exact date and time mutually convenient to both sides shall be agreed. If possible, we prefer to create an additional video clip to accompany the online course when answering questions.

Documents delivered after the online course

Upon completion of the Sauna online course, a certificate or a notice will be issued. A certificate will be issued on completion of all learning objectives. In order to achieve the learning outcomes, various written assignments have to be completed, and multiple-choice tests have to be passed. A final test and a written examination are also mandatory. Written assignments will be reviewed and fed back within 24 to 72 (usually 24) hours; progress to the next module is then allowed.
