Short overview and structure of the online course

We offer a unique online course, “Massage and Posture,” which has a very high practical value! Why? If you know which skeletal muscles become weak and which become tense with changes in posture, you can use this knowledge to give a more structured and targeted massage. For example, if a person has a pelvic drop on one side, the online course will provide an overview of how to identify this by assessing the posture and which skeletal muscles to relax and which to strengthen. This online course has great practical value as the knowledge gained can be directly applied in practice.

Prerequisites for enrolling in an online course

There are prerequisites for participation in the online course on massage and posture. You must have previously completed at least Functional Anatomy online course or a similar course. The underlying reason is that the abovementioned (online) course provides knowledge of the skeletal muscle system; it is essential for a more systematic understanding of posture changes. Also, at least one (online) course on massage must have been completed previously – one of the best choices would be Classical Massage, as this (online) course provides the basics of massage. Knowledge and skills in at least one type of massage will help to better understand posture assessment in the context of massage and to transpose this knowledge into practice.

If you plan to participate in the massage and posture online course, please send copies of your certificates to koolitused@multifarius.ee after enrolling. You do not need to send copies of the certificates if you have completed these courses or online courses with us. In addition to previous studies, we also take work experience into account; for more information, please contact us.

Completion of the online course

In order to participate in the massage and posture online course, you need to register an account on the website, which will later be linked to the massage and posture online course. More information will be provided after registration for the online course.

The massage and posture online course is based on recorded video lectures. If you have any questions during the course, you can email them to the course organiser. If the questions do not require a long answer, they will be answered by email. In the case of a longer answer, we prefer three options: 1) by telephone; 2) via Zoom; 3) creating an additional video clip to the online course. In the case of the first two options an exact date and time mutually convenient to both sides shall be agreed. If possible, we prefer to create an additional video clip to accompany the online course when answering questions.

Documents delivered after the online course

Upon completion of the massage and testing online course, a certificate or a notice will be issued. A certificate will be issued on completion of all learning objectives. In order to achieve the learning outcomes, various written assignments have to be completed, and multiple-choice tests have to be passed. The online course organiser will provide written feedback on the written assignments. Written assignments will be reviewed and fed back within 24 to 72 (usually 24) hours; progress to the next module is then allowed.
